The Benefits of Cross Training

Cross training is a type of strength and conditioning workout that uses ropes, plyometric equipment, medicine balls, kettle balls, dumbbells, suspension devices, Olympic weights and your own bodyweight for resistance in order to build power throughout your entire body. Similar to the benefits of high-intensity interval training, this means that you don't need to spend hours at the gym to see significant results. Cross training can actually be performed without any equipment, however, most people at Route 250 Health & Performance choose to use weights to build strength beyond that which would be possible with body resistance alone.
